What we believe

Three principles.

Most workforce apps optimise for the manager and forget about the ninety percent of the team who use it. We started from the other end.

01 · Privacy

Privacy by default.

Your schedules and staff details stay on European servers. We do not sell data. We do not train AI on your roster. Staff conversations are private to Canuplan, even from each other.

02 · Reach

Where your team already is.

WhatsApp covers most teams. Signal for stricter privacy. Both work the same way. We are building Matrix support next, for teams that want fully EU-hosted messaging.

03 · Law

EU labor law as code.

37 hour week. 11 hour minimum rest. Maximum consecutive shifts. Night rotation fairness. These are not checks we run after the fact. They are constraints the planner respects. A non-compliant roster will not be generated.

Track compliance.
EU working time directive built in. 37h week. 11h rest. Maximum consecutive shifts. Night shift rotation. Not configurable add-ons, the planner does not violate them.
Handle swaps.
Staff request in chat. Peer accepts. Manager approves. The bot keeps an audit trail you can read end to end.

Holidays and unavailability go in once. The planner respects them before assigning. No more last-minute conflicts.

Pricing

One plan. Per role. €100 a month.

A role is a position you staff. Twelve ICU nurses on the same rota is one role. Cancel from your dashboard, no calls, no forms.

What counts as a role.

A small ICU runs three roles: Day Nurse, Night Nurse, Charge Nurse. Twenty nurses across them is still three roles. €300 a month.

Behind Canuplan

Why we built this.

We have watched head nurses spend Saturdays on a kitchen table fighting Excel. We have watched control-room coordinators apologise for the third roster rewrite that week. The tools were either too generic, built for a retail chain in California, or too rigid to handle real 24/7 rotations.

Canuplan is the planner we wanted on the other side of those Saturdays. Small enough to make decisions fast. European enough to take privacy seriously. Honest about pricing, and about what we do and don't do.
